Adele Gross
I grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana and began organizing for my father at age 8. He taught me to pay bills, write checks and reconcile his business accounts. Although I did not appreciate it at the time, my father taught me a valuable lesson, one that I could use throughout my entire life.
I studied communications at Southeastern Louisiana University and Western Connecticut State University, when I was much younger. I am currently attending Old Dominion University completing a Bachelors of Science degree in Professional Communications. I am very proud of this accomplishment, because in addition to running my business I have two beautiful children (Jessica 14 and Connor 6), one dog (Jazz), one cat (Fluffy), and my husband (Karl) to attend to.
My career experience includes: Hospitality Director for Gulf Breeze United Methodist church. I developed their hospitality department. My duties included: event planning, volunteer coordination, and food and beverage management. I was an Office Manager in the Marketing Department and a Chief Concierge for Westin Hotels and Resorts in Santa Clara, California (Hyatt now runs the property). As Office Manager I was responsible for supervising 8 administrative assistants, and I developed a business center for the hotel. I started at Westin as the Chief Concierge, and developed the Concierge department.
At Your Service was created in 2003 to help people get organized, and provide solutions to stay organized. I am a member of NAPO, the National Association of Professional Organizers, and a member of the Golden Circle within NAPO. Also, I am a member of Athens Toastmasters.
